Landmark Hearing

We are trying to make improvements on 431 E. 5th Street, but we are experiencing resistance from the City of Dayton. We want to remove the cinder blocks from this eyesore and renovate a building that has been vacant for six years. Since the building has switched from a pawn shop to a brewpub, we would like to add outside seating. If you agree with our proposed modifications, please copy the note below and email it to us at info@toxicbrewcompany.com

Thank you!

I agree the proposed improvements to 431 E. 5th Sts should be granted and they:

- Do not remove or damage any historic material from the building

- Do not make any changes that cannot be reversed at a later date

- Do not set precedent for other storefront renovation since this is special case (business needing outside seating, no historic material removed, opening windows to inside establishment prohibited due to brewery contamination)

- Do not alter or detract from a cohesive storefront appearance

- Contribute to the unique historic character that is the Oregon Historic Arts District

Thank you
